Authenticity and craft inspire the design, sentiments prevalent throughout early 20th-century urban utilitarian structures. The modern interpretation of this inspiration focuses on form, order, texture, and materiality. Brick masonry detailing provides appropriate scale and texture, while a celebrated expression of post and lintel construction is evident on the primary tower façade. The façade is punctuated with large windows which reference warehouse glazing from the previous century.
Exterior café seating enlivens the mid-block building and activates the pedestrian realm along Music Square West. On Division Street, an elevated dining terrace outside the signature restaurant continues to blur the distinction between inside and outside. Within the building, an efficient network of service spaces support the guest experience. 173 below-grade valet parking spaces are accessible from a new private roadway which will connect Music Square West to the alley on the west side of the site.
