Hastings facilitated an accelerated visioning and programming process which took place over 30 days. Typical departmental interviews and meetings were not conducted since only one department, IT, would be occupying the space. However, numerous user group interviews were conducted, along with input from countless stakeholders during this phase of the project. With a staff of 650 that could grow to 900, flexibility was a primary concern. To accommodate this large range, a design solution was crafted utilizing 120-degree workstations, which can grow and change easily without the need for additional construction.
