    • "Really shows how Class 'A' can lead in 'green' outside of the [Central Business District]...and that the market will respond to that." ULI Nashville Excellence in Development Awards - Judge's comment - Freeman Webb Building in the Green Hills -
    • "This is a complicated development story of land swaps, P/PPs, industry-leading practices, and architecture and design that reflects local history and culture: Ultimately, this is a very successful investment and revitalization project in the best sense." ULI Nashville Excellence in Development - Judge's comment - First Tennessee Park -
    • "The jury felt that the architects took what could have been mundane and/or forgotten infrastructure and turned it into a brilliant landmark of the public realm."
"This simple and strong form, clad in a rigorous, reductive cloak, and reimagined as day falls into night, through provocative lighting creates a powerful urban design statement."
"We as a jury all shared, that we would go out of our way to find this tower, and Instagram it with our friends & colleagues."
AIA Tennessee Design Awards - Juror comments - The Bridge Elevator -
    • "Technology, community, education, art and resiliency all come together in this beautiful and successful investment of public tax dollars." ULI Nashville Excellence in Development - Judge's comment - Bellevue Library -
    • "This project was an extraordinary example of "reclaiming" an important historical, cultural fixture, and giving it a new urban and civic relevance."
"The addition of a new building marquee, a public house for sharing drink and food, and exterior gathering & performance areas create a vital urban room, enlivening the spaces between neighboring structures, and reimagining the public realm for this part of the city."
"This project faced with the tough challenge of respecting the original building, keeping intact a non-descript 1990's addition, and expanding the facility to accommodate expansion, provide a new identity to the organization,.... managed to do all three with grace and beauty."
AIA Tennessee Design Awards - Juror comments - The Ryman Auditorium/Renovation and Expansion -
    • "The simple idea of a house being spatially layered from the public to the private is beautifully and poetically executed in this project; obvious in every aspect of its design, from the site plan, to the house as an object, finally to the smallest detail." AIA Tennessee Design Awards - Juror comments - Mask House -
    • "The final design itself tried to recapture the spirit and essence of the original Art Deco theatre, while accommodating 21st century theatre amenities, for both film and live performance on the stage." AIA Tennessee Design Awards - Juror comments - Franklin Theatre -

The core placement and materiality were effectively applied and very successful." AIA Gulf States - Honor Awards program - Juror comments - The Bridge Building -
    • "They demonstrated efficient and innovative land space planning and environmental solutions, but the relationship they built with the surrounding community while doing so really took this project over the top." Sustainability

Our passion for beautiful, thoughtful design, providing innovative solutions, and our exceptional knowledge of sustainable practices gives us and our clients a competitive edge on every project.

We believe that utilizing a philosophy of sustainability as the foundation for the creative process leads to a higher level of design yielding a reduced environmental footprint and healthier building experience. Our vision of Sustainability embraces a wide range of design strategies including optimizing the building orientation and envelope design to reduce heat gain while enabling access to natural daylight; improving air quality through use of low-emitting materials and increased air filtration; and incorporation of water-conserving plumbing fixtures and high efficiency mechanical systems that most facility managers can operate without specialized training.
